Intolerance leads people to impose their puritanical values on others by force. The mere thought of consenting adults willingly exchanging sex for financial or material gain will upset people but it's none of their business. As the economist Murray Rothbard said, prostitution is a "voluntary sale of a labour service, and the government has no right to prohibit or restrict such sales."
