But sure enough, the legal question of whether an American court has personal jurisidction over the website Gawker has come up - indeed, it is the paramount question that must be answered prior to the bigger question of whether Gawker can be held liable for contributory copyright infringement? Gawker claims it is located in the Cayman Islands, thereby making out of reach for personal jurisdiction. Needless to say, this case will push the limits on a variety of civil procedure questions.
